Hello friends! I know it isn’t Monday, but I was nominated by the lovely Alana over at thebookishchick(hooray because I finally learned how to link stuff like that!) for the Mystery Blogger Award. I’d like to thank her for her for welcoming me warmly into the blogging community and for tagging me for this award! Her blog is really awesome, and I linked it above so you all can check it out!
I’ve been feeling inspired lately, and I have a lot of new ideas! This will probably result in a few surprise posts like this one in addition to my normal Monday posts.

Three Facts About Me
Other than books, blogging, and writing, I really love art! I’m terrible at making it, but I can easily admire it for hours on end! I’d live in the NYC MET if I could because it’s one of my all time favorite places! I really like Monet and Dali!
I’m a summer volunteer at my local zoo! This will be my fifth summer. I have the coolest job in the world, because I get to hang out with all my awesome animal friends every day! I mainly work with small mammals, reptiles, invertebrates, and birds!
I really like languages! I’ve been studying German for three years, and I began learning Brazilian Portuguese a while ago as well. Recently, I also started to slowly acquaint myself with the Korean Hangul alphabet! I’m hopeless when it comes to speaking in Korean but my writing’s been making slow progress!
If you could trade places with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
This is such a hard question! If I really had to chose I think I’d trade places with Sherlock Holmes! I’d spend the day solving London’s mysteries with Dr. Watson by my side and showing off my brilliant observation skills to anyone willing to listen!
What is the worst bookish habit you have?
I read WAY too many books at once. Currently, I’m reading six books. I always get about one hundred pages into a book before I feel the urge to pick up another. Once I’ve started five or six books I alternate between reading all of them and usually end up confusing myself quite a bit in the process. It’s a terrible habit I need to change!
You’ve just won a free vacation and you can pick anywhere in the world to go, where do you go and why?
There’s so many places I’d love to visit, but I think I’m going to go with London! While I’d enjoy visiting all of the touristy places in London, like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, the location at the very top of my bucket list is Bletchley Park. For anyone who isn’t familiar with Bletchley Park, it was the central site for British(and subsequently allied) code breakers during World War Two! It housed the team of code breakers and cryptographers that ultimately cracked the German Enigma code. As a result, World War Two was shortened by at least two years! Alan Turing is the cryptographer credited with the majority of work that went into cracking Enigma. Alan Turing is my hero, and I’d additionally love to visit Cambridge University which is where he taught. I’d also really like to go on the Harry Potter Universla Studio Tour and see the Cursed Child live!
What is your favorite genre of music or artist?
My music tastes are defiantly a bit diverse! My all time favorite artist is George Michael! I also really love Sam Smith and Troye Sivan who both fall into the same sort of soul/pop sounding genre as George Michael.
I also really like a mixture of more punk and emo sounding music. Brendon Urie(Panic! At the Disco’s lead singer) and Five Seconds of Summer are some of my favorites! I’ve also been really into Linkin Park lately.
I also LOVE kpop! BTS is my all time favorite! Jimin’s my bias and Jin is my bias wrecker(leave your bias in the comments!) I also really love AKMU and NCT Dream.
Finally, I’m obsessed with show tunes and musicals! Hamilton, Kinky Boots, and the Rocky Horror Picture Show are my top three cast recordings/soundtracks!
What is your, hands down, no questions asked, favorite book and why?
This is an almost impossible question! I have so many favorites! If I really had to choose I think I’d go with Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I’m a sucker for stories with quirky groups of misfits on the path to self discovery! It’s a short novel but the message is a powerful and genuine one.
What’s a book that’s heavily influenced or impacted your life?
If you had the option to spend a day in the life of an animal, what animal would you chose?
What snack do you wish you were eating right now?
If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what book would you chose?
If you had to tell the story of your life in five songs, which songs would you choose?
I’m still pretty new to the blogging community, so I only chose two of my lovely new blogging friends to nominate! The rules say that I should notify my nominees that I’ve nominated them, so I’ll message you both on Goodreads in a few days if you don’t see this!
